Žilina

The Žilina Regional Directorate operates in the northern part of central Slovakia. It manages 519,434 km of track, of which 331,394 km is electrified. The tracks include 1 456 switches, 348 railroad crossings, 457 bridges, 8 tunnels, and 733 culverts. Organizationally, the Žilina Regional Directorate is divided into three railway infrastructure sections in the ŽTS, OZT, and SEE divisions, and one traffic control section. The Žilina Regional Office has 9 independent railway stations, 39 non-independent railway stations, and 18 local administration and maintenance centers. It is also the only ŽSR Regional Office to manage a Welding and Regeneration Center, which operates in Vrútky and provides services for the entire national railway network.
