Košice

The Košice Regional Directorate operates in eastern Slovakia; it is unique in that it manages railways of all gauges - 762,870 km of standard-gauge single-track lines, 259,349 km of double-track standard-gauge lines, 98,718 km of single-track broad-gauge lines, and 40,774 km of single-track TEŽ narrow-gauge lines. This area also features 19 tunnels with a total length of 13 125 m, of which 14 are single-track with a total length of 8 868 m and 5 are double-track with a total length of 4 257 m. One of them is the Bujanovský Tunnel (3 410 m), which is the longest double-track tunnel in Slovakia.
